Motorhome enthusiasts looking for a brand new 2012 model will almost certainly consider the Autotrail Frontier Cherokee as one of their options. Although it isn’t cheap it is impressive in many departments.
From the new Euro 5 compliant engine which provides some of the most fuel efficient motoring in any conventional motorhome through to the brand new optional European Media Pack that gives the owner Bluetooth technology, GPS satellite navigation and of course Satellite TV, the new Cherokee fulfils promise in every department. Other new features include increased payloads throughout the range and new interior designs complemented by LED lighting. There is a new and improved “easy lift” to the bed box storage areas and the models all achieve grade 3 heating classification the highest standard for both insulation and heating. It’s so efficient that the inside of the motorhome can be kept at a very comfortable 20 degrees Celsius while outside it can be -15.
Of course the new Cherokee still maintains all the proven standard features, which include; driver and passenger airbags, passenger and driver swivel seats, cruise control and cabin air conditioning. The integrated wind out awning appears on all the new models, as do the duel fuel appliances. The industry leading wall and floor insulation is now complemented by vinyl floor covering and loose laid carpets that all come with the price.
Certainly there will be plenty of motorhomers enquiring about the cost of a motorhome insurance policy on this new breed of motorhome and anyone thinking of buying should always remember that the current financial situation may give them some leeway on the price.
