A brand new £3 million camping park has now been officially opened and the owners promise that touring caravanners and motorhome owners will enjoy five star luxuries every day of the year. The 20-acre park, which has 138 pitches and has been developed to five star standard, sits alongside the River Teme and has excellent road links for motorhome owners to explore the surrounding area.
Ludlow Touring Park is hoping for a bumper summer this year and has already had plenty of demand for pitches while the Olympics are taking place in London. They are also almost fully booked for the last weekend of June when the UK Motorhome Summer Fair Show takes place at the Shropshire & West Midlands Showground. The show traditionally attracts thousands of motorhome insurance policy holders and the new park is ideally situated for those wanting to spend some time in the area before and after the main event.
Operated by Morris Leisure, each of the park’s pitches is equipped with water, electricity, digital TV and Wi-Fi internet connections for those who bring a laptop or iPad with them. It also has a reception building, toilet facilities, and a fully equipped laundry. The riverside caravan park is within walking distance of Ludlow which was once described as the most perfect town in England.
Edward Goddard from Morris Leisure said: “I am absolutely delighted by the response and the number of campers coming to stay at Ludlow Touring Park. We had a trial run last weekend when 70 motorhome and caravan owners from across the country, who supported our planning application for the park, accepted an invitation to come and stay and we’ve had lots of ‘Thank You’ letters. We believe the park is going to enhance the local tourism and generate around £2 million a year for Ludlow and surrounding area, which has got to be good news for the local economy in these challenging times.”
