We have all heard about the devastating flooding that occurred over the last two weeks destroying many homes and caravan parks. Many people will now spend their summers repairing the damage to their homes and vehicles with the help of motorhome insurance companies. There was also another casualty that came from the torrential weather; the Midsummer Motorhome and Caravan Show.
The show was meant to take place at Kelmarsh Hall in Northamptonshire on the 15th of June. It was planned that the event would run all over the weekend where all motorhome lovers could come together. However, the organisers of the show were forced to cancel only a few days before the event was meant to take place.
Warners, the event organisers said this about their decision, “Due to the consistently poor weather conditions that the country has experienced over the past few weeks and the outlook up to the show, we have made the difficult decision to cancel the Midsummer Motorhome and Caravan Show.”
As many people pre book their tickets to the event, the organisers were offering tickets to the Motorhome Show Season Finale in Lincoln. This event takes place from September the 23rd. The compensation tickets are worth £72 and include a caravan pitch and two tickets for entertainment the Saturday evening.
