A brand new £3 million Ludlow Touring Park, which only officially opened its gates five months ago, is celebrating after being accepted as a prestigious affiliated site of The Caravan Club.
Currently there are only 206 caravan parks across the United Kingdom that are either owned by or affiliated to the Caravan Club, which provides high quality services to one million caravan and motorhome owners. The Caravan Club also has forty-four affiliated sites which provide members with a much greater choice of places to stay. These sites offer the same high standards as club owned sites in an attractive location that is popular for tourism. The 135-pitch Ludlow Touring Park is owned by Morris Leisure who also own two other affiliated sites of The Caravan Club and they have developed the Ludlow Park to five star standards. The new park has proved to be a popular destination for visitors who typically cover their vehicles with motorhome insurance in its first five months, despite the wet weather.
Tony Barnett, Head of Estates at the Caravan Club, said “The Caravan Club has enjoyed a long association with Morris Leisure who share the same focus on providing top quality facilities for the touring caravanner. Morris Leisure’s development of Ludlow Touring Park exceeds even their very high standards in an attractive riverside setting yet close to the town’s amenities. We are therefore delighted that the company approached us to include this excellent touring park in the Caravan Club’s nationwide network of 206 quality sites.”
Morris Leisure are delighted to have been accepted as an affiliated site, which will help to further enhance its profile and it is a fantastic reward for all the hard work that everyone has put in to making it a success. The park is expected to enhance the local tourism and generate around £2 million a year for Ludlow and the surrounding areas.
