This weather tends to get most of us planning our next year’s holidays so we thought to cheer everyone up we would tell you about our favourite places in England to enjoy a great motorhome holiday.
Do remember to check your motorhome is in full working order before setting off on a holiday and make sure your motorhome insurance policy covers you adequately in case of an emergency.
Stunning views of mountains
One of our favourite places is in Castlerigg Hall in Cumbria.
Here there are some stunning views of the mountains and is obviously a great place to explore the Lake District. From here you can also visit Castlerigg Stone Circle which is over 4,000 years old. There are a huge range of activities that are close by if you are looking a more active holiday. These include, pony trekking, a range of water sports, golf and fishing. If you fancy something more chilled out then there are museums and gardens for some relaxation. Here there are also some great facilities including a reception that is stocked up with information for new visitors, there is a restaurant onsite, a shop and a bathroom.
You can also exchange your gas cylinders here and bring your dogs! What more could you want out of a holiday?
Beautiful Tudor villages
Our next favourite is Poston Mill Park in Herefordshire. In 2011 it won the David Bellamy Conservation gold award and it also won the Caravan Holiday Park of the year. It is right on the border to Wales within 35 acres in the Golden Valley. There are beautiful Tudor villages in Pembridge where there is the world’s largest chained library. Here there is also an onsite restaurant and there is also a bar. There is also a games room, laundry room, a dog pampering facility and much more!
There is just about anything you could think of here so there really is no reason to think twice about this place.
