At Comfort, we live and breathe motorhomes; it’s been like that since day one. As the years have rolled by, the internet has proven to be a very worthy asset, helping foster motorhome communities online and putting people in touch with each other who may otherwise never have met. These motorhome forums became a place to post tips, make friends, offer reviews and generally share motorhome knowledge with likeminded souls.
They are an invaluable resource for any motorhome owner; even we still learn new things thanks to these forums! Everybody is there to help each other out.
This month, we have compiled a list of our 5 favourite forums – in no particular order – for you to check out. And remember, you don’t need to pick, you can join them all!
This is (in their own words) the UK’s largest motorhome enthusiast community. It is fast and easy to join, and they have divided the forums into 9 groups, covering everything from rallies to classifieds. There is even a beginners’ page where you will be welcomed with open arms!
Divided into 4 categories – Motorhome Matters, Warners Show News, Hint & Tips and Your Views – and with nearly 30,000 threads to choose from, every topic you can think of is covered in this friendly forum.
This is a particularly useful forum if you are thinking of driving abroad this summer. There are thousands of threads offering up advice on ferry and tunnel crossings, wild camping spots, and driving throughout Europe and even farther afield like the US and Canada. They also have an in depth motorhome model section, which covers dozens of different manufacturers and hundreds of models.
One of the smaller forums, but what it lacks for in size it makes up for in warmth! This is a close knit community, and one way they build on this is by having a ‘Regional Chit-Chat’ section, allowing local like-minded people to connect with each other. They also cover the other typical topics, including tech, camping tips and product reviews.
VW’s Campervan has become a cult classic and highly collectible. This forum is dedicated to their ‘California’ model, and houses a huge treasure trove of tips and information for everyone from the beginner to a seasoned traveller. From where to hire these beautiful campervans, to technical advice and everything in-between.
This is a slightly more general forum, covering topics including camping, campervans and caravanning, as well as motorhomes, but is still an incredibly useful resource. It has great information about campsites and caravan parks, and loads of fun activity suggestions to keep you and your family happy!
So there you have it! Hopefully you will find these forums as fun, friendly and fact filled as we do.
