SiteSeeker smartphone app launches
With caravanning holidays becoming increasingly popular in the UK and more money being spent on mobile homes and caravan insurance, The Camping and Caravanning Club have launched their own SiteSeeker app, providing extensive camping site information for holidaymakers.
The smartphone tool allows caravan and campervan owners to search for Camping and Caravanning Club Sites and Camping in the Forest Sites based on individual pitch or location requirements. The makers of SiteSeeker have strived to make information on the app as clear and concise as possible, with users able to filter results further by price and desired facilities.
In addition there is an interactive map for all of the club’s 109 club sites and 20 Camping in the Forest sites included, with favourites also able to be saved, making it simple for campers to use and find their perfect pitch.
Evleen Price, The Camping and Caravanning Club Club’s Senior Digital Manager, speaking recently said: “In this digital era, it’s important for the Club to continue to expand and improve its services. The new SiteSeeker App is a welcome addition to the Club and it will certainly help campers when they’re trying to find their perfect pitch.
“Much thought has gone into its design; as many of our campers will know, it’s not always easy to find an internet connection or a 3G signal when out exploring in the great outdoors, so we’ve made sure that our app can be used both online and offline to give holidaymakers additional flexibility when on the move.”
By entering their Club membership number, Camping and Caravanning Club members are also able to benefit from exclusive access to over 1500 secluded Certificated Sites.
SiteSeeker is available across both iOs and Android smartphone platforms, and is now available for download from the App Store and Google Play.
Registering an astounding 3,300 downloads in its first two days of release, that number is only expected to increase when the winter season comes to an end and the summer camping season approaches.
