Our Favourite Campsites in Wales

It is time for another blog on our favourite campsites again but this time in Wales. This is a great place to go to for some great country side and you don’t have to travel very far to get there!

Llyn Gwynant Campsite

One of our favourites is Llyn Gwynant Campsite. This is a very back to basics campsite which is great for a proper escape from the world and to just enjoy what is around you. There is no electrical hook up which will be no surprise to those who camp in a tent. However, to those who camp in a motorhome, this may come as a little shock. This campsite is great for those who want to get back to nature and love the outdoors. There is a river that runs through the campsite. It is only a metre deep so is family friendly. There are also professional instructors to take over some outdoor activities to keep the children entertained. The only problem with this campsite is they are only allowed to have 10 motorhomes at any time so make sure you book ahead.

Pilbach Holiday Park

For those who like to escape to nature but would like a few creature comforts the Pilbach Holiday Park is for you. There are modern facilities here with a range of entertainment but it still feels like you are amongst nature. There is also a range of pitches to choose from. As well as this, there is a sister site that offers great discounts for holidays which, during these economic times can come in handy! Especially with increasing fuel and food costs as well as having to pay for motorhome insurance on top.

Caerfai Bay Caravan and Tent Park

Last on our list is Caerfai Bay Caravan and Tent Park. This campsite is for those who love nature, outdoor activities and to soak up some culture. The campsite is right on the cliffs of Caerfai Bay means you don’t have to go anywhere to look at the stunning scenery that Pembrokeshire beach has to offer. At this campsite you could spend your whole holiday lazing around but if you are able to quit the relaxation and venture outside the campsite there is plenty to see. There are canoe and kayaking trips, boat cruises, whale and dolphin tours and surfing as well as much more. Here there are also over 50 hill forts and castles to explore and much more.

If you are planning on going to a campsite in Wales or you have already been to one, let us know below, we want to hear about it!

Wales is a great place to go on a camping holiday. I went on a caravan holiday in Wales and was really impressed with the quality of the accommodation that was available, I would definitely recommend it to others.
