Luckily, there are plenty of creative food alternatives that you can carve into colourful spooky masterpieces such as:

  • Bell Peppers
  • Melons
  • Pineapples
  • Watermelons

And if you still want that traditional Halloween feel without the bulk, miniature pumpkins are the perfect choice, they’re compact making them easy to display in your motorhome!

 

Easy to Make Spooky Treats

Frankencado Toast

Ingredients

  • 2 Slices of bread
  • Avocado
  • Cherry tomatoes
  • Olives
  • 1 Red bell pepper
  • Salt
  • Pepper

Instructions:

  1. Toast the 2 slices of bread.
  2. Cut the avocado in half and remove the pit, then scoop the flesh into a bowl with a spoon.
  3. Mash the avocado with a fork until it’s smooth.
  4. Add a pinch of salt and pepper.
  5. Spread the mixture over the toast slices.
  6. Cut the bell pepper into thin slices
  7. Cut up olives and cherry tomatoes
  8. Arrange your chopped vegetables to create your monster face using the olives as hair, bell pepper as the mouth, and cherry tomatoes for the eyes.

 

Paranormal Porridge

Ingredients

  • Instant oats
  • Blueberries
  • 1 banana

Instructions:

  1. Make up instant oats using the package instructions
  2. Cut up banana into 2 triangle shapes
  3. Add banana to the instant oats placing them on either side of the bowl to look like horns
  4. Arrange berries into a monster face shape

 

Ghost Pops

Ingredients

  • 1 bar of white chocolate
  • Chocolate chips
  • Lolly pop sticks or skewers

Instructions:

  1. Line a baking tray with baking paper
  2. Breakup white chocolate into a microwave safe bowl
  3. Microwave the chocolate for 10 second bursts, stirring in between until the chocolate has melted
  4. Take a tablespoon of the melted chocolate and pour it onto the baking paper, use the back of the spoon to make a ghost shape
  5. Add a lolly stick or skewer to the chocolate
  6. Then add 2 chocolate chips for the eyes
  7. Repeat this to make different ghosts and then put in the fridge for 30 minutes to harden

 

Creepy Cupcakes

Ingredients

  • Fairy cakes (Store bought or made from scratch)
  • Buttercream or sugar icing
  • Edible Halloween toppers or sweets

Instructions:

  1. Add icing or buttercream to the fairy cakes
  2. Decorate cakes with edible Halloween toppers or sweets

 

 

Jack-o’-lantern Float

Ingredients

  • Fizzy orange drink
  • Vanilla ice cream
  • Gummy worms

 

Instructions:

  1. Add a scoop of vanilla ice cream to a glass
  2. Pour fizzy orange drink over the ice cream until it reaches the top
  3. Garnish the glass with a gummy worm
