More about Autohaus Campervans

Autohaus is a campervan conversion manufacturer located in Minehead, Somerset. The company have been building campervan conversions since 1994 and specialise in VW, Fiat, Ford and Citroen campervans. They also undertake servicing and repairs in their workshop, together with an annual habitation service, including gas and electrical checks.

The Autohaus campervan conversion range includes seven different models. The first is the Ashton 94 campervan which is based on the VW T6.1 and inspired by the first campervans built by the company when they started in 1994. This vehicle seats four people, two at front and two at the rear and can sleep up to four. The rear seats convert into a double bed and extra accommodation is available within the elevating roof. This conversion includes all essential appliances such as a twin hob and sink as well as a fridge freezer.

Autohaus pride their next campervan conversion, the Ashton, as the very first model to enter their range. The company say this conversion has improved considerably over the years and describe it as the perfect vehicle for daily use. With all the main features of the Ashton 94, this campervan is ideal for families, as the elevating roof can provide space to sleep two extra people. Optional extras such as a roof bed, oven grill, BBQ point and wind awning are also available.

Next in the Autohaus range is the Spartan. With five seats and four berths, this conversion is ideal for longer trips away. The rear seats are equipped with three seatbelts and the kitchen unit consists of a single hob and sink and a fridge freezer. This campervan is based on a VW T5, T6, T6.1.

The Camelot campervan is based on the VW T6.1 and is completely different in terms of layout compared to the first three conversions in the Autohaus range. This unique conversion has two front and rear seats. Rather than the rear seats being joined, they are separate with a gap in between for entry into the kitchen area situated at the back of the campervan. The two rear seats convert into two separate single beds and the elevating roof allows space for two extra people by fitting a roof bed as an optional extra. The kitchen area has a twin hob, sink and a fridge freezer. The main selling point of this conversion is a flushing toilet which is discreetly located within the workspace at the rear of the campervan.

The GT Spartan conversion is built on the Ford Transit. This vehicle has an elevating roof and three rear seats which convert into a double bed. With a twin hob and sink unit and a fridge freezer, this campervan has all the appliances needed for a long trip away. Optional extras are also available for this conversion.

The Kingston campervan conversion is built on the larger Fiat Ducato to achieve a more spacious layout. This campervan is 4 berth and has 4 seats, as well as having an impressive full shower and toilet – a combination that is rare for campervans. The layout allows for two separate seating areas, one in the front and one at the back, both of which convert into double beds. The kitchen area is fully equipped with cooking facilities, such as twin hob and sink, 90 litre fridge freezer and a 30 litre oven/grill.

Last in the Autohaus campervan conversion range is the Camelot Grandi X, a high-end vehicle based on the VW Crafter. This campervan provides plenty of space at the rear of the vehicle, with two sofas facing each other that convert into a double bed as well as a TV aerial. This conversion also includes a rear shower room and toilet. The kitchen area is fitted with twin hob and sink, 90 litre fridge freezer and a 20 litre oven/grill. Optional extras such as a roof bed, BBQ point and bike rack are available.
