More about Caledonian Campers

Caledonian Campers are a campervan conversion company based in Dunbartonshire, Scotland. The family run business has been over 10 years in the making with plenty of experience in campervan conversions. The company primarily converts Volkswagen T5 & T6 campers, although they also convert Renault, Ford, Nissan and Vauxhall vans.

Their range includes four different campers, all built on the VW Transporter. First in the line-up, the Explorer is their most affordable campervan, which seats four or five and sleeps two people. Caledonian claim that this camper is ideal for weekend trips as it is equipped with all the basic necessities such as a sink, a tap, two cooking hobs and a pull out bed.

Next in the range is the Tourer. This campervan seats four or five and sleeps four people and Caledonian comment that this vehicle is perfect for long, self-contained camping trips. The Tourer includes all appliances the Explorer does, including a pop-top roof and a pop-top roof bed which can sleep two adults – this extra space can be extremely useful for families, or if you have additional friends staying with you.

The third campervan in the Caledonian range is the Grand Tourer. Similar to the Tourer, this campervan seats four or five and sleeps four people and is referred to by Caledonian as a high-end luxury campervan. This campervan includes all features the Tourer has, including a few additional extras such as a diesel heater, 18” alloy wheels and tyres, and fully re-upholstered seats.

The last campervan in the Caledonian range and the most expensive is the Grand Tourer Reimo. Like the Tourer and the Grand Tourer, this vehicle has a pop-top roof which sleeps two adults, making it a four berth. The bonus of this feature is that the roof of the Grand Tourer Reimo offers panoramic views. This campervan also has additional seats with the ability to seat five or six people, achieved by the three seater bed on rails. This campervan has all the features of the Grand Tourer, including solar panels and a microwave oven/grill, making this vehicle ideal for longer trips.
