Concorde Reisemobile unveils new Motorhome

Space is always a concern for motorhome drivers, but even those that require the most spacious vehicles will find themselves with room to spare in the new Concorde Reisemobile Centurion 1200 motorhome. The company unveiled its newest model in Hall 3, Stand B12 at the CMT Holiday Exhibition in Stuttgart, South Germany the other day to the amazement of its visitors. For the past three days the company has been enticing motorhomers with the launch of its new vehicle on their Facebook page, and they definitely did not disappoint.

The motorhome is based on the Mercedes-Benz heavy duty triple-axle Actros 2542 truck chassis, and includes full air suspension. Furthermore, it has a six cylinder 12.8 litre engine, a fully automatic twelve speed Mercedes PowerShift Transmission, and can develop 310 kw/420 hp and 2100 Nm of torque. The interior is also impressive, as it is filled with luxuries such as leather sofas, granite worktops, and a fully integrated kitchen and bathroom.

Concorde has a long history of building motorhomes, especially as it was established over thirty years ago in 1981. It started out as a RV components manufacturer, but then moved into the specialist trailer production market soon after in 1982, and not soon after in 1983 began producing motorhomes.

Their motorhomes have been built on a variety of platforms throughout the years, starting with the European Ford Transit Van, the Peugeot Panel Van, the VW LT, and the Mitsubishi L300. In later years they built motorhomes on even more popular platform chassis such as the Fiat Ducato, the Mercedes-Benz Sprinter, the Iveco Daily and the MAN 8226. In 2008 the company also launched the 890G with Integral Smart car garage, and in August 2012 their Concorde Liner Plus was one of ten RVs included in Examiner’s line up of The World’s Ten Best Car Carrying Motorhomes.

Whilst this motorhome is definitely out of the ordinary, we are sure that there are some motorhoming enthusiasts out there that would love to invest in the Centurion 1200, just make sure you check with your motorhome insurance provider how much it will cost to cover first!
