Travelling in Spain

With motorhome holidays growing in popularity, so is Spain as a destination. For those who already have their own motorhomes as it is one of the favourite spots along with France and Portugal.

Nowadays it is easier than it has ever been before to travel around Spain especially without having to break the budget and as you are in control of where you end up, you can travel around at your own pace.

One of the best starting points for travelling around Spain is planning and researching a route. Who knows, you may discover something even better. If you are renting a motorhome in Spain, it will be easier to pre-book your nights in the campsites while you are still in the UK. Travelling in a motorhome, especially in Spain, is a great way to see a little bit of everything as the country has so much to offer.

Fortunately, Spain is still quite cheap to travel around. If you stock up on food supplies from the local supermarkets, rather than going for dinner every night this will definitely help if you are on a budget. Another advantage is that you can travel away from the tourist areas where you can get a real feel for Spain. This also helps if you are on a budget as the prices are often higher in tourist towns. By saving money in these areas it leaves a little extra cash for the not so fun things to buy such as motorhome insurance.

Although one major factor to be prepared for when travelling in a motorhome is fuel prices. Unfortunately this is on the rise no matter where you go and Spain is no exception. Southern Spain is particularly expensive but if you plan your journey beforehand then it is simply another cost to factor in and shouldn’t destroy the holiday experience.
