Yesterday we published an article discussing how Elddis Caravans are launching a mandatory training programme for all service centres and workshops that maintain their caravans in order to teach mechanics how to repair and maintain their fully-bonded models. Now, we have heard that the star of Channel 5’s Emergency Bikers, Mark Hayes (otherwise known as Flaymo) has recently purchased his second Eldiss caravan last week at the Spring Caravan and Camping Show.
Mr Hayes said one of the reasons he bought the caravan was due to the SoLiD Construction, which replaces more than ninety per cent of the screws and bolts usually found in a caravan with a chemical bonding solution. Discussing his decision to buy the Elddis Affinity 540, Mr Hayes said: “We found that the build quality and finish on the Elddis vans was superior to the other makes we had viewed. Again we looked at all the makes but deep down I’d already decided I wanted an Elddis caravan again – especially with the introduction of their SoLiD Construction. Now all I had to do was convince my wife and children!”
The first time Mr Hayes bought an Elddis caravan was at the October 2011 Spring Caravan and Camping show, which he said was: “An Elddis Sunstyle 524 – a special edition. After 16 months we realised we’d been bitten by the caravanning bug and decided it was time to invest in a ‘van with a fixed bed’.” The Spring Caravan and Camping Show last week proved popular among motorhome and caravan enthusiasts alike, especially those looking for in-depth knowledge on types of vehicles that include new buildings techniques such as bonding.
Not only that, the show provided visitors information on how to tow their tourers, get the most out of their motorhome holidays and how to find the best motorhome insurance deal for new purchases. We also enjoyed the show last week, and if you head over to our Facebook page you can see some of the photos we took whilst we were there!
