Autumn Themed Air Fryer Recipes!

Easy and simple autumn themed recipes perfect for the colder weather and for this Halloween!

Pumpkin spiced cupcakes

Cupcake Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cloves
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup softened unsalted butter
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup of milk
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract

Frosting Ingredients

  • 2 cups buttercream
  • Food colouring

Decorations

  • Chocolate, sprinkles, sweets, or toppings of your choice

Step by Step Guide

  1. In a bowl mix the dry ingredients (except the sugar) together – flour, baking powder, salt and all the spices
  2. In a separate bowl mix the eggs, milk, butter, sugar and vanilla extract
  3. Then gradually add the dry ingredients bowl to the wet ingredients and mix until just combined
  4. Line cupcake moulds or silicone cupcake liners with paper liners. Spoon the cupcake batter into the liners, filling each around two-thirds full
  5. Place the cupcakes in the air fryer basket, leaving space between them so they can cook evenly
  6. Air fry for 12-15 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the centre of a cupcake comes out clean
  7. Remove the cupcakes from the air fryer and let them cool
  8. In separate bowls for colours mix buttercream and food colouring until fully mixed
  9. When the cupcakes are completely cooled down pipe or spread the buttercream icing onto the cupcakes
  10. Use chocolate, sprinkles, sweets or toppings of your choice to decorate your cupcakes in a Halloween theme!

 

Ghost brownies

Ingredients

  • 2 large bars of milk chocolate
  • 2 large bars of white chocolate
  • 1/2 cup softened unsalted butter
  • 1/2 Cocoa powder
  • 1 Cup brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 plain flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • Chocolate chips

Step by Step Guide

  1. Chop up one of the bars of milk chocolate into small chunks
  2. In a bowl or pan (compatible with your air fryer) add the milk chocolate chunks and butter
  3. Checking regularly, put the bowl in the air fryer until the chocolate and butter has melted
  4. Mix them together
  5. In a separate bowl mix the eggs and sugar
  6. Once combined add this bowl to the chocolate bowl and mix
  7. In the additional bowl mix the flour and cocoa powder
  8. Slowly add this dry mixture to the chocolate bowl while mixing until it is all fully combined
  9. Chop up one of the white chocolate bars into chucks and mix this in the chocolate bowl
  10. Grease a small pan or dish that fits inside your air fryer basket. (Make sure the containers you’re using are compatible with your air fryer
  11. Add the mixture to the pan or dish and cook in the air fryer for 25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the centre of the brownies comes out clean
  12. Remove the brownies from the air fryer and let them cool
  13. Once the brownies have cooled, chop the second milk chocolate bar up into small chunks and melt in a bowl in the air fryer
  14. Spread the melted chocolate mix over the brownies and leave to harden
  15. Then cut up the white chocolate and melt in a bowl of the air fryer
  16. Once melted take spoonful’s of white chocolate and put them on top of the brownies, use a tooth pick to pattern the white chocolate into ghost shapes

 

Halloween cake pops

Ingredients

  • 1 cake (store-bought or homemade)
  • 2 cups of buttercream frosting or chocolate
  • Food colouring (if using buttercream frosting)
  • Lollipop sticks
  • Sprinkles, chocolate chips or decorations

Step by Step Guide

  1. In a large bowl using your hands or a fork crumble your cake
  2. Add buttercream frosting and mix until the mixture reaches a dough-like consistency and can form a ball shape
  3. Take small handfuls of the mixture and form them into balls
  4. Insert lolly pop sticks
  5. Place cake pops in the fridge for 30 minutes to firm up (or the freezer for 15 minute)
  6. Air fry the cake pops for around 5 minutes or until they are a golden brown colour
  7. Place them down to cool
  8. Melt the chocolate or mix food colouring and frosting together and then coat the top of the cake pops
  9. Create a design with sprinkles, chocolate chips or decorations

 

Honey glazed butternut squash, pumpkin, and parsnip cubes

Ingredients

  • 1 cup pumpkin cubes
  • 1 cup butternut squash cubes
  • 1 cup parsnip cubes
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground thyme
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • Salt and pepper
  • Fresh parsley or rosemary for garnish (optional)

Step by Step Guide

  1. Prepare your vegetables and cut them into cubes, then add them to a bowl
  2. Combine olive oil, honey, cinnamon, thyme, nutmeg, salt and pepper in a separate bowl
  3. Pour the honey glaze mixture over the vegetables and toss, make sure you coat the vegetables evenly
  4. Put the glazed vegetable cubes in the air fryer
  5. Air fry the vegetables for 12-15 minutes or until the vegetables have caramelised, halfway through the cooking time shake the basket to move the vegetables around to ensure for more even cooking
  6. Garnish with parsley or rosemary

 

Roast flavour Jacko lantern slices

Ingredients

  • 2 large potatoes
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 OXO cubes of your choice
  • 2 tablespoons of dried rosemary
  • 2 tablespoons of dried thyme
  • Salt and pepper

Step by Step Guide

  1. Cut up potatoes into rounded slices
  2. Soak the slices in water for 15 to 30 minutes
  3. Pat dry with a tea towel
  4. Cut small triangular shapes into each potato to make a jack ‘o’ lantern face
  5. Coat the potato slices with olive oil
  6. In a bowl crush up your OXOs of choice and add the rosemary and thyme alongside salt and pepper.
  7. Season the slices with the dried OXO mixture
  8. Place in the air fryer for 15-20 minutes, cook until crispy and golden

 

Autumn seasoned pork chops

Ingredients

  • 4 pork chops
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 teaspoons dried rosemary
  • 2 teaspoons dried thyme
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper
  • 2 tablespoons maple syrup
  • Apple sauce

Step by Step Guide

  1. In a small bowl combine rosemary, thyme, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt and pepper
  2. Rub both sides of the pork chops with olive oil then season with the dry mixture
  3. Place the seasoned chops in the air fryer for 10-12 minutes. (Ensure you slip them over halfway through)
  4. Once cooked drizzle with maple syrup and serve with apple sauce

 

Spooky Pita bread pizzas

Easy spooky snack sized pizzas perfect for on the go!

Ingredients

  • 2 pita breads
  • Cheese of your choice
  • Sauce of your choice
  • Toppings of your choice
  • Salt and pepper
  • 1 teaspoons of garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon of dried thyme
  • 1 teaspoon of dried oregano

Step by Step Guide

  1. Evenly coat your pita breads with your sauce of choice
  2. Season your pizzas with salt, pepper, garlic powder, thyme, oregano, and any other seasonings you enjoy!
  3. Add a layer of cheese on to each pita bread
  4. Prepare your toppings of choice and arrange them in a spooky pattern
  5. Add more cheese!
  6. Place the pizzas in the air fryer and cook for 5 minutes, check that topping have cooked properly (they have not put the pizzas back in the air fryer for an additional 2 minutes.)
