Motorhome Dealer Recruits Local Talent
Motorhome specialist Geoff Cox of Denby is looking to take on some more apprentices following the success of similar schemes in recent years. The motorhome dealership which also sells cars is hoping the new recruits will be as good as Ashley Hill and Ben Horsnall who both joined the company in 2010.
Ashley was the first apprentice recruited to join the company training programme and he now works in the authorised repair workshop where he fixes motorhomes that have been involved in an accident and need repairs that are paid for through the owner’s motorhome insurance policy. Ashley applied for the apprentice after he was recommended to Calvin Rees, the managing director, by his headmaster during an open day at Ashley’s school. Ashley was up against seven other applicants but beat them in the selection process and has never looked back. Ben Horsnall has been doing a double training programme, one for cars and another for motorhomes. He has already passed exams on his way to becoming a fully-fledged motorhome technician.
Calvin Rees said: “It’s good to have local people who understand the local area and are proud to be working in their community. They have all done well in the training and exams. The apprentices are a valued part of the company and we are looking forward to them qualifying as full technicians. We are expanding and the new apprentices will be joining a company that has a bright future.”
The company has spent time building up an enviable reputation for the quality and expertise of their professional vehicle aftercare service. The technicians are manufacturer trained and all have exceptional skills and experience in all kinds of motorhome repairs. They maintain a high standard by investing in regular training and always have the latest equipment in the workshop where all work is guaranteed and approved by the manufacturer and motorhome insurance companies.
