New Guide Will Help Motorhome Owners Explore the Peak District
Motorhome holidays continue to be popular options as people decide to take cost-effective holidays, and they have plenty of places to visit and stay in the Peak District thanks to a brand new informative guide. The area’s official tourist board has teamed up with The Camping and Caravanning Club to produce the area’s own 34-page Camping & Caravanning Guide.
The guide offers advice on how to choose the camp site that is best suited from the nine Camping and Caravanning Club sites in the area along with the facilities available. There are also useful details about the area’s varied landscapes, market towns, villages and key attractions. The updated guide is a mine of information for anyone wanting to pitch their mobile home, that they have protected with motorhome insurance, at a wide variety of value-for-money locations in the gorgeous setting of the Peak District.
David James, Chief Executive at Visit Peak District, said “We are delighted to have joined forces with The Camping and Caravanning Club for the third year running to produce this full-colour guide, with up-to-date details of quality graded camping and caravanning sites across the area. This year promises to be a landmark year for British tourism thanks to Queen Elizabeth II’s Diamond Jubilee and the London Olympics 2012. More and more people opt to stay at home, either for their main holiday or for more frequent short breaks.”
Camping and caravanning in the Peak District has continued to grow in popularity, and it is hoped that the guide will allow campers and caravanners to get closer to nature and get back in touch with who they really are. Copies of the guide are available at tourist information centres throughout the area, and can also be downloaded from the tourist board’s website.
