When planning a motorhome or campervan trip it is important to research your route, motorhome insurance and caravan sites before you head off so that you know that everything is covered before you head off. One of the easiest ways to find the best caravan parks in a certain area is to look at which ones have recently received any awards, which is why one caravan park in Buxton is sure to be gaining more business soon after being awarded best caravan site in their region.
The Clover Fields Touring Caravan Park is owned and ran by the Redfurn family, who were extremely pleased to hear that not only had they won best caravan park in their region, but also been named one of the top 100 caravan parks in the whole of the UK in Practical Caravan magazine’s Top 100 sites competition. And to make things even better the Readfurn family – which comprise of Jan, her husband Stephen and their three children Jodie, Tom and Jessica – found out that they had won due to the votes made by their customers.
Discussing their win, Jan Redfurn said: “It is amazing for a little park like this. It is like a tick for the park in terms of us being up there with the best. It feels as though the park has secured its spot against its peers. We started it from nothing so it feels like we’ve been approved and we’re up there with the best of them. It’s almost like the industry approves of Clover Fields. It was exciting. We’ve never been in that position before and we weren’t expecting it.”
“We knew the other 14 sites (in the Heart of England region) were tough competition so we weren’t expecting anything at all. It will definitely bring new customers and will reinforce the awareness of Clover Fields as a park. We definitely think it will encourage more visitors. It’s like a double whammy for Derbyshire because Callow Top (holiday park in Ashbourne) won the Practical Motorhome regional category, so this is a big boost for Derbyshire.”
