It’s that time of year again; spring is starting to show itself, summer is rapidly approaching and all our thoughts are turning to getting away and going camping! Fortunately, if you can’t wait until July to get your first dose of leisure time, you’re in luck: this weekend will see the National Motorhome show open it’s doors to the public in Peterborough.
First entry to the show is tomorrow (Friday) at 9:30am. The show, now in its twenty-third year, is to be held in the East of England Showground, a fantastic open venue easily accessible from the A1 (M), just North-East of London. The show is the largest outdoor motorhome show in the UK and though a mid-afternoon shower is forecast tomorrow, the rest of the weekend is set to be gloriously sunny and around 13C.
Pre-booked camping is sold out for the show, but it’s still possible to turn up stay in one of the non-booked camping areas. A campervan with two adults and three children included will cost you £59 if you turn up tonight and £56 tomorrow morning, although space is likely to be quite limited so it’s worth arriving as early as you can. It’s also possible to buy a day ticket for just £7.50 per adult – under 15s can get in for just £2.
The usual set of exhibitors will be present and it’s expected that over 800 motorhomes, both new and used, will be available for you to explore and, if you’re looking to spend some cash, you’ll certainly be able to arrange a purchase! Alongside the retailers there will be a selection of breakdown cover providers, motorhome insurance providers and all kinds of accessories available to buy or to just get acquainted with.
This show usually marks the start of the spring and summer for motorhome owners, and it’s a fantastic weekend in itself, but it’ll also help you to really get prepared and enthused for the long summer ahead. Don’t forget that Comfort Insurance will be at the show this weekend so make sure you find us and enter some of our fantastic competitions!
